What is TheMemoryLink?
TheMemoryLink is the first subscription-based website solution for funeral directors. Now you can get your website online in one day, customized with your logo, colors and photos, and start managing funeral services, community events, obituaries, service and product information, and more. All you need is a computer with access to the Internet and some basic text editing knowledge.
Who is behind TheMemoryLink?
TheMemoryLink is a division of the web application development company Six Feet Up, Inc. Founded in 1999 and headquartered on the North-East side of Indianapolis, IN, the company has been integrating, extending and hosting the open source Plone content management system for hundreds of customers ranging from small non-profit organizations to large Fortune 10 public companies.
How long will obituaries and guestbooks stay on my site?
The content entered on your site belongs to you and will stay up as long as your account stays in good standing order with TheMemoryLink.
How do I cancel service?
- We reserve the right to cancel any account for violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.
- If you wish to discontinue service with TheMemoryLink, or do not wish to renew your domain name, it is your responsibility to contact us to cancel your account or domain name.
- Transferring a domain to a new hosting company does not constitute canceling an account with TheMemoryLink.
- All cancellation requests must be submitted by mail or email. You will need to indicate when you would like to cancel the account and if you are keeping the ownership of the domain name that we registered for you. If you do not indicate that you would like to keep the domain renewal, we will cancel all of TheMemoryLink services and let your domain name expire.
- Should you fail to adequately notify TheMemoryLink of your intent to cancel an account, and the account is automatically charged and renewed, we will only refund any annual charges placed on the account after the date the official notification was received.
- Any service cancelled within 30-days of the initial sign up will not be billed to you. This does not include the domain registration or any setup fees for additional services requested.
How do I renew service?
- A reminder notice will be emailed to you two (2) weeks before the due date of your service renewal with TheMemoryLink. This message will serve as a reminder that your charges are coming due and will also indicate if you need to update your credit card information.
- Domain renewal invoices will be sent out 35 days before the domain is due to expire. Unless you indicate otherwise, we will automatically charge the credit card we have on file two (2) weeks before the domain renewal date.

TheMemoryLink comes with a easy and intuitive user interface that will make it easy for you to update content on your website. All you need is a computer with access to the Internet and some basic text editing knowledge.
How do I get help with my website?
The team at TheMemoryLink stands ready to help you Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm ET (holidays excluded). Simply contact us and one of our representatives will promptly help you.
My site is down, what should I do?
If you experience any issue with your TheMemoryLink account, please contact us promptly. We guarantee someone will get back to you within a day if your request for assistance is placed during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm ET - holidays excluded).
How do I customize the design of my website?
When you open a new account with TheMemoryLink, our team of designers will help you customize the look and feel of the templateof your choice so it matches any existing marketing material you may have and supports your overall positioning.
In addition, TheMemoryLink is powered by a simple website content management systemthat will allow you to post images and edit text easily. This will give you great latitude in making your site truly yours.

TheMemoryLink is not affiliated with any third-party vendor. Our service does not come with any string attached. You may list as much merchandise as you wish, from as many different vendors as you want.

Will I be able to use my own domain name?
If you already have a domain name (e.g. yourdomain.com), we will be happy to help you set it up so that it points to your account with TheMemoryLink. The result will be seamless to your online visitors as they keep going to the same website address they have always gone to.
How can I protect my clients privacy?
Your account with TheMemoryLink will allow you to keep both obituaries and guestbooks closed to the public by managing access to content via passwords. Our team will be happy to guide you through the process. Simply contact us.
